Principal Jeff’s 5 Borough Tour Continues!

Queens – May 17th and 18th – 4pm-6pm

Dear Students and Families,

Our strong and proud School Leadership Team (SLT) meets monthly to discuss school-related issues and plans accordingly. Recently, our SLT team decided that we need to take the conversation to the streets and engage our community by coming to all five boroughs. Principal Jeff Chetirko and members of our staff/students/parents will be heading out to all five boroughs throughout the month of May (see schedule below).

Urban Assembly New York Harbor School is unique in that our students and families live in all corners of our city (see map below of where Harbor students live). We will be asking families and students to help us answer questions about our community related to our need to improve our cultural responsiveness, Harbor School expansion on Governors Island, and planning for Summer School. All throughout May we will be heading out to all five boroughs on Mondays and Tuesdays from 4pm-7pm following the schedule below:

Brooklyn – May 3rd and 4th – 4pm-6pm

• Barclay’s Center (5/3) – Come meet us at the front entrance area
• New York Aquarium (5/4) – Come meet us at the front entrance area

Bronx – May 10th and 11th – 4pm-6pm

• Yankee Stadium (5/10) – Gate 6 East 161st Street and River Avenue
• Bronx Zoo (5/11) – Belmont Entrance – Between 183rd and 185th

Queens – May 17th and 18th – 4pm-6pm

• Queens Center Mall (5/17) – Queens Blvd. Entrance
• Rockaway Beach and 116 Street (5/18)

Manhattan – May 24th – 4pm-6pm

• Central Park (5/24) – Come meet us at the front entrance area

Staten Island – May 25th – 4pm-6pm
